No matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here.
Welcome to the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Zumbrota, Minnesota!
First Congregational UCC is an Open and Affirming Member of the United Church of Christ (UCC.)
What is our mission? To listen to the still-speaking voice of God, to welcome all, to love our neighbor, to serve those in need, to live in faith, to accept grace, and in all things to give God the glory.
Who Are We? We have been in ecumenical partnership with the Presbyterian Church of Oronoco since 1957. Oronoco is the “O” and Zumbrota the “Z” in this partnership we call “The OZ Churches.” Highway 52 is the Yellow Brick Road that connects our faith journeys, but also leads us out into the world for outreach and educational activities. We share a pastor, use the same service and hymnals, and offer joint programming. We share each other’s joys and concerns. In short, we are family. We are a church home.
We are also the church of the comma: Gracie Allen once said, “Never place a period where God has placed a comma, God is still speaking.” Look for the comma banner by our door. Founded in 1857, we are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Are you looking for a church home? Do you know someone who is? We invite you to join us for worship or Sunday School, to meet our people and to learn how your own life journey can be enriched through our practices of faith.
